Fine Line Bistro
Cuisine: American
The renaissance on West State Street continues with the opening of Fine Line Bistro; this sweet gem has completely transformed the interior of the former Gepetto's Pizza into a comfortable modern restaurant that is pleasing to the eye. The owners, veterans of Ithaca restaurant scene, envisioned a place that was transparent to the diner, served the freshest food, and was exciting to the palate and pleasing to the wallet. They have succeeded. Diners can see, and smell, the chefs preparing meals as the kitchen is completely open and visible; the menu is intentionally shorter so as to assure the freshest food each day; and prices are affordable. The end result is a new place with fantastically fresh food.

The Food:
  • Rack of Lamb is a signature dish and a big hit at our table; peanut roasted greens were amazing.
  • Pommes Frites with paprika aoli are crisp and everything a fry should be. A Must Order.
  • Black Pepper Seared Scallops were big, sweet, moist and supremely delicate.
  • Chipotle Mussels, lots of mussels with a warm to the tongue broth that has a hint of sweetness.
  • Pork Tenderloin has a fantastic bourbon barbeque sauce that brought the pork to life.

    The Experience:
  • Food aroma is so important; every dish smelled great and piqued our taste buds.
  • We loved the brushed metal tables and the modern feel.
  • You can eat right next to the chef and watch your meal being prepared.
  • Eating Solo? This is the place; sit at the bar or by the chef.

    The Price:
  • Apps start at $3 and peak at $10
  • Entrees range from $7-$21
  • At $3 the Pommes Frites (French Fries) are a great deal as they are some of the best fries we have ever tasted.
